Well I hope you already saw our Valentine's card! Quintin picked up quite a few ladies as his valentines with the card (grandmas and aunts mostly)!
For Valentine's day, Steven came home with chocolate chip muffins and served them to me in bed. He also bought pink roses. We went and visited our nurse friends and came home to hang out with dad again. The boys cooked dinner while I did homework. Then, we got all dressed up and went to an orchestra concert at UND. I totally slipped on some ice and ate it when we were walking in(which the bruise on my leg is still fading away). We had to take Quintin because it didn't start until 8 (on a school night) and we figured all our friends were spending time with their valentines. He of course woke up and we spent some of the time walking around the top of the auditorium with him. After the concert, we went to Denny's and had dessert...which Quintin decided he was entitled to sample as well. Then, we came home, got baby in bed and exchanged our cards for each other.
All in all, the best Valentine's day I've ever had with two cute valentines.
Update: We also got a package from my mom. Quintin loves his gorilla that says "MUAH! I love you!" It already has a bald spot.

Valentines Day- Part 3
For my gift to Steven, we kind of planned it together. I got called to substitute teach the morning of the 15th so my plans were a little less prepared than I would have liked. After getting home, I drove Steven to the airport and got everything ready while he did a lesson. I planned us a special dinner of this:
Main Dish: Popcorn Chicken & Tater Tots
Close-up of that salad: it had mini pepperonis in it.
Appetizers: Baby Pickles & Carrots w/ Ranch

Baby Shrimp and Cocktail sauce
Dessert: Mini Chocolate Covered Pretzels and Mini M&Ms
The Final Product:
After eating for awhile, I had some gifts for Steven. Here is Steven's gifts. If you don't get it, read here.

And, if you still don't get it...this should make it pretty easy to understand.
PS This is from right after Steven figured out the 'tiny' dinner and saw the test. I think it's a pretty priceless shot.
And this is when he opened his other present...also a priceless face.
He couldn't believe that we will have a baby to fit in that in a few short months!

Valentine's Day-Part 2
Here is us on Valentine's Day:
Here are the flowers Steven brought me:
*FYI: Roses are our anniversary flower...daisies and lilies are for everything else!
Here is reason #7,548,909,857 Steven is the perfect man for me. This is what he bought me for Valentine's Day:
Who needs jewelry when you can have Michael? If you haven't seen this movie, go watch it! It will reassure you how great of a person MJ really was. It's the only movie Steven and I have ever watched all of the special features...more than once...

Valentine's Day
Well, as some of you may know, we are not huge fans of Valentine's day...we love each other every day so why make a day to pressure each other to get the perfect gifts? However, we think the idea of taking time out to show the love is a good idea. Our first year of marriage, we totally ignored the holiday. Last year, we had our fancy schmancy party and invited some other couples over. This year, we decided to invite the Smith family to our teeny tiny apartment and have dinner. We were very glad they came! The kids had been sick most of the week, but they were better to come for dinner! For desert, we made cake...white cake that I went a little food-coloring-happy making pink.

Steven does not like to use the PAM spray, and he thought I put too much on (he always thinks that) so he wiped it off...and the cake did not come out of the pan...So I had to decorate them in the pan and my 2 layer masterpiece turned into 2, 1 layer attempts.

For dinner, we had 2 kinds of pasta, pink punch, salad, and rolls. We decorated with Valentine place cards and rose petals.

For desert, we had the BRIGHT pink cakes. But, the kiddos found the tootsie rolls and had those also. The two oldest kids both stocked up on similar colored tootsie rolls. One took all the blue at first and then older brother decided he wanted all the green. Don't worry, we did not let them eat all of them.
Seriously...have you ever seen cake that pink before that wasn't strawberry flavored?!
We played games for awhile and then they headed home! We are glad they came and happy that we have made good friends with them!
